A SPECIAL COVID Note: Testing is available on demand in Los Barriles at the health clinic, a quick hop into town, test and certificate for travel are issued at no cost-- but donations to the clinic are welcome. Check with the airline for testing requirements. We have had very few COVID cases in this part of the Baja, the local residents would like to keep it that way and encourage using a mask, washing hands frequently, etc... You will find that restaurants REQUIRE employees to wear masks and use COVID safe practices. We suggest avoiding big cities (Cabo San Lucas and La Paz) at this time but the East Cape is safer than most of the US.
With Los Arcos, you are renting an estate with a guesthouse designed for family gatherings and larger groups. The sandy beach of Punta Pescadero on the Sea of Cortez is the ultimate Baja vacation spot. Look down the beach, watch the sun rise in the morning and look the other direction to see it set at dusk and never be bothered by a beach hawker or tourist tout.
Los Arcos is built on a huge double lot and has a master bedroom suite (king size bed) as well as two separate other suites (two queen beds and a bunk bed) in the main house, each room has a separate full bath and shower. In addition there is a casitas suite attached to the garage with three queen beds and full bath, perfect for the kids or overflow guests.
The separation of the various suites makes this ideal for several families or corporate business retreats. When the temperature heats up, every room has air conditioning and a circulation fan.
There is a huge covered veranda around the entire house where you can always find a quiet spot away from the sun or wind. From the veranda you can descend down to the enclosed beach play area with its fire-pit and covered Palapa. From there just walk over the sand into the warm Sea of Cortez to go snorkeling to look at the tropical fish and coral.
The Punta Pescadero resort is a short walk down the road where you can play horseshoes, rent ATV’s, scuba gear, basketball, a restaurant and a full bar overlooking the water where they make a great margarita.
Linens and towels are all included during your stay. If you want daily cleaning service, it's available for a daily charge. Our property manager, Jose Maria, is around to help you arrange activities, meals, live music and help fulfill all your expectations, be it fishing excursions or other local trips of interest. If you want any meals brought in or cooked at the house, he can supply you with menu from his wife’s restaurant.
